Rede group participates in the consortium meeting of the H2020 project 4I-Traction in Berlin

Rede group participates in the H2020 project 4I-Traction consortium meeting held in Berlin on June 16 and 17. The event was attended by all the project partners: Ecologic Institut (Coordinator), Climate Analytics, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, University of Eastern Finland, Institute for Climate Economics, CE Delft, Wageningen University, Wise Europa and Rede group of the University of Vigo.

During the meeting, the first to be held in person, the progress of the project during the first year of execution was analysed and the strategic planning to achieve the set objectives was carried out.

A key element of the debate has been the assessment of how the effects of the war in Ukraine, specifically in the energy field, will condition the EU's climate policies. In this sense, the challenge arises of how to make compatible advancing towards greater energy autonomy and, at the same time, the progressive elimination of the use of fossil fuels, necessary to achieve the goal of climate neutrality by 2050.
